Some Do’s And Don’ts After Nose Piercing January 18, 2008
Posted by Pierced GlamoBaby in : Ideal PiercingThe most common type of nose piercing is in the nostrils but some people also have there nasal septum pierced. The main purpose is to wear jewelry in the pierced area. The trend of piercing your nose originally started off from India where women as well as men used to wear jewelry in their nose to represent their marital status and tribes. The jewelry of that time used to be rough and big in size as compared to nose rings you can find in the store these days. Piercing a nose is something that makes a woman looks unique and sexy if worn the right size according to your features.
Just got a new hair cut, bought that stunning dress you loved and those matching shoes. Still if you are looking for a change in your appearance then go for nose piercing. Many people believe that nose piercing accentuates your best features while giving a unique yet stylish look. In many cultures and countries people pierce their children’s nose while they are babies as many civilizations practices piercing your nose as a ritual more than fashion. The most common place for piercing your nose is the nostrils but some people pierce their nasal septum as well as bridge piercing which is between the eyes.
If you decide to pierce your nose then go for a needle rather than a gun. The main reason for using a gun was to keep the whole procedure hygienic as no human touch is involved while piercing through a gun. But observations show that gun piercing causes more pain as a huge stud is hidden in the gun which can cause a hole in the wrong place. The gun pushes the stud brutally in to the skin causing a lot of trauma and the pain lasts for days. Unlike gun piecing, using needle causes less agony, accurate location and the healing is faster while having a tiny stud placed in the nose. If you want to keep your pierced nose a secret to yourself till the infection is healed completely, the invisible nose stud is also available that is placed without it being noticeable. You can wear it till you are ready to share your secret with others.
Once you have your nose pierced some of the precautions that should be taken are to avoid playing with your nose ring in the healing process this will just delay the whole curing process making it more painful. Although that does not mean you cannot clean your pierced area. Every time you take a shower clean the nose with a cotton ball soaked in Saline solution which is available at any chemist shop. Dry the pierced area after you are done with the shower. If you still think the healing process is very slow then you can always use B-vitamins with a Zinc appendage which increases the curative process. Make sure the stud has a stopper placed behind it at all times as the constantly moving of a stud in a newly pierced nose can cause a pimple or infection. Many people recommend using silver jewelry as it is a cool metal that does not cause the nose to cause further infectivity. Keep your jewelry on at all times since the whole can close up within six months. Also do not use make up, hair spray, cleaners or sun tan lotion directly on the pierced area seeing that it causes irritation and damages the skin tissue. Keep these few tips in mind and you can have a beautiful and flawless pierced nose in a couple of months.
